Henderson Elementary

Carl Orff (1895-1982) was a German composer who wanted to provide quality music education for children.

Orff Schulwerk is an approach to teach music to children that  relies on improvisation and children’s imagination to create musical ideas. The exploration of rhythm and melody is used through singing, playing percussion instruments, speech, and movement.
