Henderson Elementary

My name is Megan Beard and I grew up in Denton, TX.  I was active in band in High School where I played flute and served as drum major.  I went on to Stephen F. Austin State University where I graduated summa cum laude in Music Education.  I'm currently in my eighth year of teaching elementary music. I have completed level one and two of Kodaly and Orff training from Southern Methodist University.

I live in Forney with my husband, Jarrod.  Who teaches band at Rockwall High School.  We have a son Jacob who is three and another son, William, who is due in June.   We have two dogs, Delilah and Claire.  I love teaching at Henderson and hope to give each of my students a life long love and appreciate of music.
